A while back, a young woman contacted me because she had just received a job offer to work in Belgium. She began the process, but at one point, she got stuck because the authorities asked her to provide a sworn translation of her birth certificate within a week.
She was stressed because, without this document, she would miss out on this job and the chance to work in Europe. After she accepted my price quote and made the transfer, I sent her the sworn translation of her birth certificate. A few months later, I received an email from the same person thanking me, saying that she had settled in well and that I had changed her life.
It was at this moment that I realised the power of sworn translators; I translate chapters of your lives and, to a certain extent, help you achieve your goals.
I hold a Master’s diploma in Multidisciplinary Translation from the prestigious and renowned Higher Institute of Translators and Interpreters in Brussels, in the language combination English-Spanish-French.
I then completed a certificate course in legal knowledge at the same institute to specialise in sworn translation. Since the end of 2024, I have been listed in the register of translators and interpreters under VTI 127252781.
A sworn translation is not just a simple administrative formality. It represents much more than that. In fact, every document I translate marks an important milestone in someone’s life.
In my view, translating is like building a bridge between two languages, two legal systems, and sometimes even between two life paths. It is this human yet rigorous dimension that gives meaning to my work as a sworn translator.
Finally, all sworn translators have an ethical responsibility: they must deliver flawless, accurate work that is recognised by the authorities.
Behind every story is a document. Let us work together to make your project a reality and ensure that the stress of administrative procedures becomes a distant memory.
